policies & notes
Non-Discrimination Policy-
Earthside Doula VT is a non-discriminatory business, meaning that we offer our services to everyone regardless of race, religion, sex, orientation, place of origin, etc. We are proud to offer our services to families with same sex parents, single parents, surrogate pregnancies, and we offer Postpartum services for adopted newborns and their families.
Travel Policy-
Included in your fee for service is travel. This includes travel within 1 hour of Plainfield, VT. I currently offer appointments in your home or at a small shared office in Berlin.
I may be able to provide services at further locations for an additional travel fee.
If you are receiving care at a local hospital, but must be transferred in an emergency to a further location such as Dartmouth, I will not charge any additional travel fee.
Mandatory Reporting-
As a professional in the health care field I am a mandatory reporter, which means I am required to report any and all neglect or abuse that I am witness to or suspect. This includes domestic violence of any kind.
Payment & Canceling Contract-
Payment in full is expected by your due date unless we have discussed other plans. Failure to pay in full may result in the termination of my services. My time is valuable to me and my family, and I need to be compensated for that time.
Any deposit will be applied toward your balance.
If you cancel my services beyond the third appointment, I reserve the right to keep the $200 deposit for my time.
Appointment Cancellations
Please do your best to provide at least 24 hour notice if you must cancel your appointment. Repeated missed or cancelled appointments with short notice could mean the termination of our contract. I am flexible and understand that things do occasionally happen and it can be difficult to provide notice, however I have a schedule with clients and plan my days around a specific appointment schedule.
